At Renew Skin Clinics we use Candela medical grade lasers and offer two types of wavelengths. The 755nm ALEXANDRITE and the 1064 nm ND: YAG. Both are safe, comfortable and effective for a wide range of skin types and hair colours permanently reducing hair growth.  During the treatment the laser delivers a beam of intense laser light which is absorbed by the hair follicle and converted to heat. The heat damages the hair follicle preventing hair growth. The surrounding skin tissue remains intact and unharmed. A course of 6 -12 treatments is recommended over 1-2 years, followed by maintenance every 2 – 3 months.
